| Management Team | | | | JESUS PEREZ-BORGES, President, Master Designer | | Jesus Perez-Borges is the founder, President, and Master Designer of International Design Engineering & Architecture Team (IDEA Team). His illustrious portfolio in the field of theme design, architecture, engineering, and construction dates back to 1995, when he founded Calsino, Inc. where he specialized in the architectural design, interior decoration, and engineering of theme attractions for California Indian gaming organizations. He also gained widespread recognition for his unique design and manufacturing of three-dimensional, multi-level, progressive slot and video, interactive multimedia, and fiber-optic signane displays.In 1998, he sold his interests in Calsino, Inc. to Thunderbird Gaming Corporation, Toronto, Canada. However, he remained as the company’s Director of Construction Development. His noteworthy achievements included the construction expansion of Thunderbird’s theme casino and entertainment attractions throughout Latin America. Under his revolutionary designs and engineering, various casino and entertainment facilities where constructed in Venezuela, Panama, Spain, Aruba, and Curacao. The architectural designs and theme decorations of these projects garnered him much respect among the architectural and engineering community.In 1999, he departed from Thunderbird Gaming Corporation to establish IDEA Team. Possessing over 20 year’s experience in architectural design, interior decoration, engineering, construction, and project management, he has provided a complete suite of theme design and construction services for the hospitality and entertainment industries. With a portfolio of over 70 casino, nightclub, restaurant, resort, retail mall, theatre, and marina projects throughout the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean, today he is revered as a leading designer-builder of world-class, Latin American entertainment attractions. | | | | ESDRAS PEREZ, Executive Vice President | | Esdras Perez-Borges graduated with a degree in information systems from the school of Business Administration at Cal State University Los Angeles.He started his career as an Analyst at JWCH Institute. From there he moved to Economy Financial Insurance Services (EFIS) where he started as Director of Information Technology and worked his way to General Manager, where he achieved various improvements in streamlining company workflow. Following his accomplishments at EFIS Esdras moved to PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he worked in the Information Technology department and was responsible for one of the satellite offices in Los Angeles, California.Later he was hired as General Manager of Calsino, Inc. where he received many accolades for increasing productivity and lowering overhead expenses by computerizing the company’s operations. Later he moved on to his current post with IDEA Team where he is valued as a resourceful executive who’s pragmatic approach consistently ensures the seamless operation of every IDEA Team project. Since his tenure began at IDEA Team, he has been a key player in a complete restructuring of the company. | | | | NICOLAS CHAVEZ, Production Manager | | Nicolas Chavez possesses over 20 year’s experience in theme construction and product fabrication. He began his career in 1983 while attending the technical institution, Tecnico Industrial CECATI-21, Mexicali, B.C., Mexico. He graduated in 1987 after successfully completing numerous courses in the fields of electricity, mechanical electronics, and welding.In 1985, he became a welding and metal fabrication intern with Neon Pacifico, Mexicali. During his internship, he gained much experience through his participation in a project that included the production and maintenance of large electronic signage displays for the mega Mexican supermarket chain, Calimax.In 1988, he joined South Bay Neon, San Diego, California and acquired the title of Business Manager where he was responsible for the management of acrylic and exterior signage display fabrication. In 1994, he joined Ultra Neon, San Diego, California as manager of neon and aluminum welding fabrication.In 1995, became a sheet metal worker for Calsino Inc., Santee California. This experience help expand his career into the field of theme design and construction. Being a fast learner with prior management experience, he was promoted to the title of Production Manager. He achievements include the supervision of contractors, subcontractors, and tradesmen and for project management in the areas of decorative construction, interior decoration, general contracting, product manufacturing, and building maintenance and restoration.In 1996, he departed Calsino, Inc. to become the Production Manager of IDEA Team. He presently manages the company’s Decorative Accessories, Aquatic Rock & Landscape, Artistic Elements, Bathroom and Kitchen, Flooring Tile & Mosaics, Custom Furniture, Lighting Systems, Electronic Signage Displays, Custom Millwork, Custom Masonry, Metal Fabrication, and Tapestry divisions. His achievements include the supervision of hundreds of artisans and contractors and the management of theme design and construction projects and of production of decorative and environmental products for restaurants, nightclubs, and local, European, and Native American casinos. He has also managed extensive theme facility construction projects for resorts. His credits include various theme hospitality and entertainment projects in the United States, Panama, Venezuela, Aruba, San Marteen, and the Dominican Republic. |
